Plan Your Tampa Game Day

Choose a game first, then decide whether to eat near the venue or make a separate food and drink stop.

Tampa game days fall into three parts of town. Downtown and the river have hockey and pro soccer. Dale Mabry Highway has football and baseball. Two college campuses add more games.

Downtown and the river

Benchmark International Arena is the home of the Lightning. The Pearl, JoToro, and Columbia Cafe at the Tampa Bay History Center are all within about a quarter mile. Hattricks and District Tavern are a little farther and publish sports viewing.

Suncoast Credit Union Field is where Tampa Bay Sun FC plays. Stones Throw and Armature Works are about a quarter mile away in Tampa Heights.

Football and baseball on Dale Mabry

Raymond James Stadium hosts the Buccaneers and USF football this season. Steinbrenner Field hosts the Tarpons and Yankees spring training. No roster restaurant is next door. La Teresita is about 0.8 mile from the stadium, so plan a short drive.

College games

USF plays at the Yuengling Center, USF Baseball Stadium, and Corbett Stadium. The University of Tampa plays at Bob Martinez Athletics Center and Pepin Stadium, with Downtown food stops close to campus.

Before you go

Open a venue page for its official schedule. The Rays play in St. Petersburg, so they are not on this list. When you want a place with a game on, find the TV spots.
